Calder/ Bennett farmers

I was interested to see that William Calder of Old Country Farm was mentioned in Mathon history. William was the brother of my Great- Great Grandfather Joseph Calder who also lived at Old Country  Farm before moving to Slatch Farm Coddington. William's mother was Anne Bennett and I believe it was her brother Thomas who farmed at Southend. Joseph Calder's daughter Emma married my great Grandfather Charles Jones and they settled at The Tanhouse ( Sandpitts) where he began the sand and gravel business. My Grandfather Albert ( "Father Bert") Jones took over the pit with his brother Percy, and also farmed there. My mother Kath Jones ( later Blood) was born at Tanhouse as were we three children.
